​We have committed to operating our drainage utility in an open and transparent way.

A considerable amount of information is available on our website and in the City of Edmonton's Open Data initiative. If the information you are looking for concerning the drainage utility is not readily available, EPCOR will follow the guidelines in Alberta's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy  (FOIP) legislation in providing you access to that information.

Principles of access to information legislation:

  • You have a right of access to certain records held by the drainage utility,

  • The drainage utility must protect your personal privacy and follow rules and guidelines in collecting, using and disclosing, to others, your personal information.

  • You have a right to see your personal information held by the drainage utility about yourself.

  • You have the right to request corrections to your personal information that is held by the drainage utility, generally.

Accessing information

General requests, or requests for non-personal information, require a fee of $25 payable to EPCOR Water Services Inc. Please follow the instructions included on the Request to Access Information form and send it to:

Record searches for compliance with Sewer, Drainage, Water Services and Wastewater Treatment Bylaws are subject to a fee of $142.06. Please email DrainageRecordSearch@epcor.com and include the following information.

  • Municipal address and legal description;
  • Customer address and contact information;
  • Customer file or project number; and
  • Letter of authorization from the current property owner with clearly printed name and signature

You will be invoiced for this service.​
