EPCOR is responsible for the maintenance of the main storm and sanitary sewer lines in Edmonton and associated infrastructure, such as outfalls. As infrastructure ages, it can deteriorate in many different ways. As part of its maintenance program, several outfalls have been identified as requiring replacement and/or relocation.
Outfall 47 is a Storm Outfall in Edmonton, AB and was identified as needing rehabilitative repairs to prolong its service life including concrete crack repair, concrete resurfacing, installation of a new grate and fence, erosion and sediment control, site restoration and planting live cuttings and other repairs. Outfall 47 is located adjacent to the North Saskatchewan River south of Low Level Bridge. The outfall construction access will require using an existing multi-use trail as the temporary access route.
EPCOR Drainage Services hereby gives notice that a submission has been added to the Common Project Search (online registry) pursuant to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act described herein and its description.
Pursuant to paragraph 4(1) of the said Act, EPCOR Drainage Services has deposited a notification of a minor work in accordance with the requirements set out on the External Submission Site, on the online Common Project Search Registry and under registry number 5994, a description of the following work: Outfall 47 rehabilitation on the North Saskatchewan River at the City of Edmonton in front of Lot 4ER, Block 1, Plan 0021114 (9903 Rossdale Road NW).

Outfall 264 is a Storm Outfall in Edmonton, AB and was identified as needing rehabilitative repairs to prolong its service life including installation of a new concrete flared end, pipe segment replacement and pipe relining, erosion control, and other repairs. Outfall 264 is located within Blackmud Creek Ravine north of Blackburn Dr SW where it crosses Blackmud Creek. The outfall does not currently have an easily accessible construction access route and will require a temporary access road including a temporary creek crossing.
