Powering the future of sustainable energy

EPCOR and several Canadian energy leaders embarked on a pilot project to develop an energy storage-based Virtual Power Plant (VPP) in Edmonton’s Blatchford neighbourhood. 

This sustainable network aims to expand to up to 100 homes working together to produce, store and sell electricity in harmony with our electrical grid.

Supporting you in generating your own electricity ​​

Distributed energy resources (DERs) are small-scale energy resources such as rooftop solar panels and onsite battery storage. DERs can offer you an opportunity to produce your own electricity at your home or business. 

As your electricity distributor, we can assist you in connecting your new DER installation to the grid. Learn more:
