Upcoming Rossdale community workshops

Attend one of our workshops to find out further information about the flood protection project and provide EPCOR feedback regarding the permanent flood barriers at Rossdale Water Treatment Plant.

May 24, 2022 from 6 – 8 p.m. MDT
Online workshop — sign up here

May 26, 2022 from 4 – 7 p.m. MDT
In-person open house at Rossdale Community Hall, 10135 - 96 Avenue. Registration is encouraged but drop-ins are welcomed as well.

Now is the time to get involved! We want to hear from you so that we can design flood barriers that protect the Rossdale and E.L. Smith Water Treatment Plants and integrate into your community as much as possible, while being mindful of costs.

Community members are invited to provide feedback on:

  1. Which design considerations are important for EPCOR to consider while building flood barriers in certain locations around both water treatment plants
  2. The preferred type of flood barrier in certain locations at the Rossdale Water Treatment Plant.
  3. Suggestions for amenities that EPCOR will consider when constructing the barriers.

Phase 2 of public engagement is being done at the REFINE level. EPCOR will seek to consider and reflect public feedback while we make decisions regarding the development of the flood barriers at the water treatment plants. EPCOR will provide feedback on how public input influenced the decision through What We Heard reports.

Indigenous engagement will be ongoing throughout the course of this project.

 Current engagement opportunities

We want to know what you think about our proposed shared outcomes, design principles and community engagement framework. There are a couple ways to get involved:
