Energy Charges

The rate you choose covers the actual cost of your power, natural gas, or both (depending on which plan you sign up for). Because you can change your plan at any time, you can always have another look at the energy plan options we have available.

Administrative Costs
  

A $7 per month administrative fee will automatically be added to your monthly bill to cover the costs of customer service and billing. That means ensuring billing accuracy, friendly responses to all your questions, helpful advice in choosing the right Energy Plan, switching services or helping with moving arrangements.

Distribution and Transmission (D&T) Charges

Taxes

When necessary, taxes will be applied to all bills.

Carbon Levy

​You'll see a separate line item on your monthly natural gas bills as of Jan 2017 for the carbon levy. The best way to reduce this cost is to be more energy efficient by turning down the thermostat, fixing leaky doors and windows, and making sure you have good insulation throughout your home.

Remember: Your energy charges is only one portion of the total bill. A $7 per site per month administrative fee, any regulated, energized one-time, miscellaneous charges for distribution and transmission costs, or applicable taxes may be applied. These fees may vary and are dependent on usage and service area. They're applicable regardless of your chosen retailer.

About fair competition

All customers are free to purchase natural gas services from the default supply provider or from a retailer of their choice and to purchase electricity services from the regulated rate provider or from a retailer of their choice. The delivery of natural gas and electricity to you is not affected by your choice. If you change who you purchase natural gas services or electricity services from, you will continue receiving natural gas and electricity from the distribution company in your service area.
