Fortunately, we have plenty of resources available to help you conserve water inside your home and yard. And because your water bill is based on your water use, saving water also saves you money.

Customer conservation kits and rebates

What you can do to save water

If you want to reduce your water consumption or just make your home more efficient:

Check your irrigation system. In Arizona, it's estimated that 70% of a family's water consumption happens outdoors. Check your lawn or garden's irrigation system to make sure it’s working properly and not watering where it isn’t needed. Look for leaks and avoid over-watering.
Get drought-conscious. Consider planting drought-tolerant plants that don't require as much water to thrive, and adjust your irrigation timer as the seasons change.
Fix those leaks. A leaky toilet can waste hundreds of gallons of water every month. Check your toilet for leaks regularly by putting a few drops of food coloring into the tank. If the color appears in the bowl after 15-20 minutes, you have a leak.
Install new fixtures. Low-flow toilets, showerheads and faucets consume significantly less water and are one of the fastest ways to reduce your home's consumption. Our free conservation kits come with a low-flow showerhead to help you get started. And energy-efficient dishwashers can also help reduce your electric bill.
