Edmonton's Light Rail Transit (LRT) is a transforming force, providing mobility and access to all Edmontonians. As our city grows, so does its transportation needs. Here at EPCOR, we're doing our part to help bring reliable, accessible LRT service to Edmontonians by helping with utility relocations on the Valley Line West project.

The Valley Line LRT is 27 km urban line that will run between Mill Woods in southeast Edmonton and Lewis Farms in west Edmonton. The southeast line is being constructed, and the west line will begin construction within the next few years. We're currently relocating existing utilities before construction on the Valley Line West begins.
This project is broken down geographically into six zones which follow the alignment of the relocations from east to west for clarity. The relocations may occur in any of these geographic areas along the Valley Line LRT route from the start to the end of the project (2019-2023). The zone areas are outlined on the below map.
While we try to minimize disruptions during our project work, there are some things that may affect you throughout the project, like traffic impacts and sidewalk closures.
You can expect to experience typical construction activities during this work. Here are the details about what you can expect during construction.

While we work on this project, we'll also be completing non-LRT focused work in the same areas. Find out how this adjacent work impacts this project.

As the project progresses, we'll work with the community to develop an engagement approach that provides project transparency, a process to manage any questions or issues, and provides meaningful communication to residents.
We'll mail print notices to residents and businesses within each shaded zone when work in that zone begins. Some residents may receive notifications for multiple zones depending on where the work is occurring.
