Project overview

The 99 Avenue sanitary sewer conveys wastewater from west Edmonton to the Gold Bar Wastewater Treatment Plant. The sewer is approximately 30 metres deep and services approximately 117,000 customers. Inspections have identified the existing trunk varies from fair to very poor condition and requires rehabilitation between 142 Street and 151 Street to ensure it continues to meet the current needs and growth for west Edmonton.

This project has been broken down into two stages:

  • Stage One: New Sewer Construction - Along 99 Avenue, north on 148 Street and east on 101 Avenue (completed)
  • Stage Two: Rehabilitation of 99 Avenue Sanitary Trunk - Along 99 Avenue, from 142 Street to 151 Street
