​Current rates in the Sonoran water district​

On January 26, 2022, the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) voted to approve EPCOR’s 2020 water rate case. The ACC’s decision combined six districts together. Agua Fria, Anthem, Chaparral, Havasu, Tubac, and Willow Valley are now grouped as EPCOR’s Sonoran water district.

New rates initially went into effect February 1, 2022. The rates were phased in over a three year period. February 1, 2024 marked the third of final rate adjustment.​

ACC Regulatory Assessment Charge

Each month, as an Arizona customer you will see the "ACC Regulatory Assessment Chrg" on your bill. This charge is adjusted each year and applies to both residential and non-residential customers.

Included in the fees for those services is an assessment fee that all regulated utilities in Arizona pay to support the operational costs of the ACC and RUC​O.
