A fixed rate plan stays stable and predictable throughout the term of your plan. Your energy bill may be different each month, depending on how much energy you use, but the per unit cost of energy does not change.
A floating rate plan changes with market prices. Your monthly bill reflects your energy use and the market natural gas and electricity prices from the previous month.
