Harmony water rate application

In October 2024, EPCOR welcomed Harmony Advanced Water Systems Corporation (HAWSCo) into the EPCOR family. Now operating as EPCOR Harmony, we remain focused on providing safe, reliable water service and supporting the growth of the Harmony community with dependable infrastructure.

After completing its review, the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) has approved very limited, measured updates to Harmony’s water rates:

• 4% increase in 2026
• No increase in 2027

These small adjustments help ensure the system continues to operate safely and reliably, without placing unnecessary pressure on customers.

The AUC reviews utility costs independently to determine what is reasonable for customers to pay. Their decision reflects what is needed to maintain reliable service — nothing more. For 2026 and 2027, the AUC approved a much smaller rate adjustment than what utilities often request in growing communities, keeping rate impacts modest and predictable.

• Your water rates will see only a small change in 2026, approximately $40 year.
• In 2027, your water rate will remain the same as 2026.
• Most customers will see a small increase in their water bills beginning in February as the 4% interim adjustment takes effect. The exact impact will depend on how much water your household uses (your January bill does not include the interim rate increase).
• Continued reliable, high‑quality water service for Harmony.
