Electricity meters have a standard 15‑year service life. Over time, components wear down and the meter becomes less reliable or harder to maintain. To keep the electricity system performing at its best, EPCOR proactively replaces meters that are reaching the end of their lifecycle.
Meter replacement is a regular and ongoing part of EPCOR’s operations. Each year, a portion of meters across our service area becomes due for renewal based on their installation date.
Replacing expiring meters helps ensure:
