As part of our commitment to transparency and customer service, EPCOR is directing customers to the Ontario Energy Board’s (OEB) new Centralized Capacity Information Map (CCIM). This province-wide tool provides clear, consistent and accessible data about available electrical distribution system capacity across Ontario.
The CCIM replaces distributor‑specific capacity maps by offering a unified platform that helps customers, developers, municipalities and energy project proponents understand where electrical capacity is available for new connections, expansions and Distributed Energy Resource (DER) projects.
Province-wide visibility
The CCIM consolidates capacity information from every electricity distributor in Ontario. Users can view high‑level data on available capacity for new or expanded customer loads, as well as hosting capacity for DERs such as solar or battery storage projects.
Supports better planning
The tool allows users to screen potential project locations early in the planning process—whether for new developments, EV charging infrastructure, business expansions or renewable energy projects. It helps reduce uncertainty by offering timely, consistent data before contacting a local distribution company.
Up‑to‑date and standardized
Distributors provide capacity data to the OEB on a regular basis, ensuring the CCIM is consistently updated with standardized information across all service areas.
