We are hiring an Associate Director, Health & Safety – Commercial & Shared Services for a full‑time, permanent position based in Edmonton, AB. This opportunity is open to both internal and external candidates and may be eligible for EPCOR’s Where We Work hybrid program, based on business needs.
This is a strategic leadership role with enterprise visibility and influence. You will lead a high‑performing team that partners with business leaders and employees to manage operational risk, strengthen safety culture, and advance EPCOR’s health and safety strategy across Commercial Services and Canadian operations.
In this role, you will have functional accountability for key H&S portfolios, including Contractor Safety Management, Incident and Injury Management, and Occupational Hygiene. Your leadership will help shape best‑practice programs and systems that enable the business to proactively manage hazards, respond effectively to incidents, and continuously improve safety performance.
You will work closely with senior leaders, Business Unit HSE teams, Corporate HSE, and external stakeholders, providing trusted guidance on risk, strategy, and operational priorities. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful, organization‑wide impact while helping EPCOR deliver on its commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence.

Candidates who do not currently hold these designations/certifications but aspire to attain them may be considered at a development level and will be expected to obtain them within 24 months of hire.
