Connecting your business to natural gas includes a few stages to ensure everything is safe, accurate, and ready for service. We will guide you through the process and let you know when action is needed from you or your contractor.
The process begins with the natural gas availability form.
After you submit the form, EPCOR reviews your service area to confirm whether natural gas can be brought to your business location. Once the review is complete, you’ll receive an email with the next steps.
Once availability is confirmed, EPCOR reviews your business information to help determine the appropriate service option.
We will guide you to the right option based on your location and expected usage.
If your business location is eligible, you’ll be asked to complete a Meter Size and Location Request form.
This form helps plan where your gas meter will be installed and how the gas line will connect to your building. Information requested may include:
Once the form is submitted, we'll prepare for an initial site visit.
Important: Do not disconnect your current fuel source or remove any equipment until natural gas service is installed and your meter activation appointment is booked.
Before service can start, you’ll need to complete a preauthorized payment form. This allows automatic bill payments once your business’s natural gas service begins.
If required, we may also accept:
You’ll need to work with a licensed HVAC contractor to prepare your equipment and systems for natural gas.
Your contractor can help:
Review your contract with your existing heating provider to confirm any notice requirements.
Once installation is complete and your HVAC contractor confirms everything is ready, you or your HVAC contractor must contact us to arrange the final site visit.
