Proposed 2027–2030 conservation programs

PublishedFebruary 23, 2026

Supporting comfort, energy savings, and long‑term affordability for our communities.

EPCOR has applied to the Ontario Energy Board for approval of new natural gas conservation programs for residential customers in Aylmer and South Bruce. If approved, these programs would begin January 1, 2027, and would give customers access to a range of home energy efficiency upgrades delivered through the provincial Home Renovation Savings program and Income Qualified Programs.

These programs would be delivered in partnership with Enbridge Gas, offering a smooth, one-stop experience for customers.

What this means for you

More ways to save energy at home
Customers would have access to rebates for insulation, air sealing, heating equipment upgrades, and other improvements that help make homes more comfortable and efficient.

Support for long‑term affordability
Energy‑efficient homes use less natural gas, which helps manage monthly bills over time.

A simple customer experience
Working with Enbridge Gas means access to a larger, well‑established program — making the process easier, faster and more consistent across Ontario.

A small annual increase to support expanded programs
Residential customers would see an estimated increase of about $34 per year to support the delivery of conservation programs. For many customers, the value of available rebates will exceed this annual amount.

Why EPCOR is proposing these programs

Our customers have told us they’re looking for practical ways to manage energy costs and make their homes more efficient. By partnering with an experienced program provider, we can:

  • deliver conservation programs more cost effectively
  • ensure fair access for customers in smaller communities
  • provide a consistent experience across Aylmer, South Bruce and the broader province

This approach allows our customers to benefit from the same home energy upgrades and incentives available in larger service areas, without placing the administrative burden on our local teams or ratepayers.
