Harmony’s 2026–2027 rate application

PublishedNovember 10, 2025

Understanding the AUC process

At EPCOR, we’re committed to transparency and keeping our customers informed about how rates are set for the services we provide. As part of that commitment, we want to share details about the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) process currently underway for EPCOR Harmony’s 2026–2027 water utility rate application.

What’s happening?

EPCOR Harmony Inc. has submitted a rate application to the AUC, which oversees utility rates in Alberta to ensure they are fair and reasonable. This application outlines the revenue EPCOR needs to continue delivering safe, reliable water services to the Harmony community.

How can customers participate?

The AUC process is designed to be open and inclusive. Customers had the opportunity to file a Statement of Intent to Participate (SIP) by October 31, 2025.

What happens next?

Here’s a snapshot of the upcoming steps in the AUC’s review process:

  • November 7, 2025 – AUC issues its own IRs to EPCOR.
  • November 14, 2025 – Customers who filed a SIP can submit IRs to EPCOR Harmony.
  • November 28, 2025 – EPCOR responds to all IRs.
  • December 5, 2025 – Written arguments (if required) are submitted.
  • December 19, 2025 – Written reply arguments (if required) are submitted.

All submissions must be filed by 4 p.m. MST on the respective due dates.

Why this matters

This process ensures that customer voices are heard and considered in decisions that affect water rates. It also helps the AUC evaluate EPCOR’s application fairly, balancing the need for sustainable service delivery with affordability for customers.
