Vegetation management underway in east Collingwood

EPCOR and Davey Tree are conducting vegetation management in east Collingwood to protect power infrastructure, prevent outages, and meet OEB regulations.
PublishedOctober 06, 2025

EPCOR is committed to maintaining the safety and reliability of our electricity infrastructure. As part of our ongoing efforts, and in alignment with Ontario Energy Board (OEB) regulatory requirements, Davey Tree will be conducting vegetation management work on behalf of EPCOR in East Collingwood, from now until the end of the year.

This work will take place east of Hurontario Street to the Wasaga Beach boundary and involves trimming or removing trees and other vegetation that may interfere with power lines and equipment.

What to expect

We anticipate minimal impact to our customers. However, in some cases, walking and biking trails may need to be temporarily closed to ensure the safety of workers and the public. We’ve asked Davey Tree to provide advance notice of these closures.

Why this matters

Vegetation management is a critical part of our infrastructure maintenance program. It helps:

  • Prevent outages caused by tree contact
  • Ensure safe access for crews during emergencies
  • Comply with provincial regulations

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we complete this important work.
