In this role, you’ll operate and monitor the wastewater treatment plant using standard operating procedures and best practices to ensure everything runs smoothly. You’ll perform process field tests, analyze SCADA data, and make informed adjustments to optimize performance. When abnormal conditions arise, you’ll work closely with your peers and Lead Hand to troubleshoot and resolve issues. You’ll also contribute to sound operational decisions, operate equipment, and step into broader responsibilities when needed to support the success of the plant.
Reporting to the Manager, Operations, and working alongside the Lead Hand Operator and fellow Operators, you’ll help maintain compliance with environmental standards and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System requirements. Grade: 2100(Non certified) / 2101(Operator I) /2102 (Operator II)
Wage: Starting wage will range from $27.89 to $37.38 per hour with the final wage and grade level determined at the time of offer in accordance with the collective agreement’s wage grid and meeting the minimum requirements of the role.
Hours of Work: 80 hours bi-weekly. Overtime, weekend and shift work is required. Shifts/days vary. The successful candidate must also participate in the on-call rotation system (60-minutes response time required).
