You don’t have to wait to move your services. You can keep services at both your current and new home or business.
Moving out of Alberta or ending your services?
We can move your EPCOR services if you're staying within Alberta. However, if you're moving outside of Alberta, you'll have to find a new service provider. Remember to provide at least 3 business days' notice to ensure you are no longer billed for services at your home once you have moved out.
Keeping service on when tenants move out
If you're a landlord and want to keep power on when a tenant moves out and cancels their service, submit an
Automatic Power Install Application. Visit our

Transferring utilities to a new tenant or owner
Customers cannot transfer utilities to another customer. When you move out from an address all you have to do is provide a date to stop service at the current address and provide the new address you are moving to and the date to start service at the new address.
Is there a cost to transfer utilities?
There may be costs associated with moving services, but fees vary with each location. If you have any questions about fees associated with moving services, please contact our Customer Care team at 310-4300, and remember to let us know about the details of your move at least 3 business days’ prior to your moving day.
