We can help you tackle your moving list by making it easy to transfer your EPCOR services online. Remember to give us at least 3 business days' notice to ensure your utilities are moved on time.

How to transfer EPCOR services when you move

When moving to a new house or business, you can schedule when to stop service at your current address and when to start it at your new address online in My Account.

What you'll need:

  • My Account log in info (your email address and password)
  • Address you are moving from
  • Date to stop service at current address
  • New address you are moving to
  • Date to start utility service at new address​​

Give 3 business days' notice to transfer utilities

Let us know about the details of your move at least 3 business days prior to your moving day and we'll make sure your utilities are set up at your new place on time. Otherwise, services may not be turned on at your new home or business on move-in day.

You don’t have to wait to move you​r services. You can keep services at both your current and new home or business.

Moving out of Alberta or ending your services?

We can move your EPCOR services if you're stay​ing within Alberta. However, if you're moving outside of Alberta, you'll have to find a new service provider. Remember to provide at least 3 business days' notice to ensure you are no longer billed for services at your home once you have moved out.

Keeping service on when tenants move out

If you're a landlord and want to keep power on when a tenant moves out and cancels their service, submit an Automatic Power Install Application. Visit our Landlord Information page for more information.

Transferring utilities to a new tenant or owner

Customers cannot transfer utilities to another customer. When you move out from an address all you have to do is provide a date to stop service at the current address and provide the new address you are moving to and the date to start service at the new address.

Is there a cost to transfer utilities?

There may be costs associated with moving services, but fees vary with each location. If you have any questions about fees associated with moving services, please contact our Customer Care team at 310-4300, and remember to let us know about the details of your move at least 3 business days’ prior to your moving day.​
