Regina wastewater treatment plant achieves CALA certification

In 2016, the lab at the Regina Wastewater Treatment Plant received its accreditation in ISO/IEC 17025:2005 from the Canadian Association for Laboratory Accreditation (CALA).

This standard, developed by the Internal Organization for Standardization (ISO), outlines the competency requirements for carrying out tests and calibrations, including sampling. Accreditation indicates that the Regina lab has technical competence in operating an effective quality management system and performing accurate and reliable tests.

The EPCOR Regina facility achieved accreditation amidst a three-year upgrade project to meet new, more stringent provincial environmental standards.
