Regina Wastewater Treatment Plant achieves ISO 14001 certification

EPCOR is pleased to announce that the Regina Wastewater Treatment Plant attained the ISO 14001:2015 standard for environmental management systems.

As one of the key deliverables in EPCOR's contract with the City of Regina, the site was required to attain certification within 18 months of substantial completion of the Wastewater Treatment Plant upgrade project. Amidst a tight deadline, major construction and performance testing, the facility developed an integrated management system for its health, safety and environment procedures, policies and regulations.

"The EPCOR team in Regina have achieved a great deal in the last four years," says Vicki Campbell, EPCOR senior manager regional operations and Regina site manager. "Not only have they successfully completed the three-year project upgrade to the wastewater treatment plant but also helped EPCOR continue to enhance its environmental management goals."

ISO 14001:2015 is the international standard developed by the Internal Organization for Standardization (ISO) for the implementation of an Environmental Management System "that an organization can use to enhance its environmental performance" (ISO).
