Compensation

As a permanent EPCOR employee, you'll receive a competitive salary, generous pension options, and an opportunity to earn bonuses, which vary by position.

Incentive program

Most employees (non-union and union groups) receive incentive pay when EPCOR achieves its short-term business goals. The incentive varies based on Corporate, Business Unit, and Individual Performance results.

Health and dental benefits

Our flexible benefits package allows you to choose the plan and coverage that is right for your needs and the needs of your family. The benefits package also includes company-paid Long and Short-Term Disability premiums.

Wellness account

We encourage you to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. Permanent employees will be reimbursed for health and fitness related expenses through the Wellness (Personal Spending) Account.

Employee and Family Assistance Program

This voluntary and confidential service is available to all permanent employees and their dependents, providing help with issues such as:

Time off

Proper work/life balance will help you be at your best. That's why we offer several opportunities to recharge throughout the year.  

Vacation and time off

You'll start with a minimum of two weeks' vacation in the first year, with some employees eligible for more depending on their position and years of experience.

Personal leave days

All permanent non-union and some union employees get personal leave days to encourage a healthy work/life balance. They also allow employees to attend to personal priorities and appointments.

Scheduled days off

Full-time managers and eligible out-of-scope employees receive one scheduled Friday off per month to promote a healthy work/life balance.

Milestone Achievement Award Program

Our Milestone Achievement Award program allows us to celebrate the contributions of our employees and their commitment to our values, vision, and long-term plan.

Welcome to EPCOR

Our New Employee Orientation gives you the chance to meet other new members of our team and become familiar with EPCOR. We also have a robust onboarding and job-specific orientation that spans the first few days, weeks and months of your employment.

Skill development options

You're just starting out working for EPCOR, and you likely have plans to build your career. We're interested in those plans and may be able to help you get there. You can access a range of courses and programs to develop skills in your trade, dealing with people, change management, project leadership, and much more.

Leadership development programs

If you are joining Team EPCOR in a leadership role, we offer a suite of leadership development programs such as Management Bootcamp.

After-hours personal development program

As a permanent employee, you'll have access to funding to help you achieve a certificate, diploma, or degree. We'll support you in pursuing interests in areas related to your EPCOR career, either for your current role or for a career change within EPCOR.

Early career development

We're proud to make the list for Canada's Top Employers for Young People, year after year. With more than 15 percent of our employees being 30 and under, this is an achievement we're very happy to celebrate.

To support our younger employees, we offer tuition subsidies, co-op opportunities and in-house training, as well as our on-the-job experience programs.
