How to apply

Our recruiters and hiring managers rely on our online application system to review applications. We don't accept applications via email or in person. Please apply using our online system to ensure that your resume and cover letter is viewed.

Applying for more than one position

Please apply for each position separately as there may be different EPCOR hiring managers for each position. It's also a good practice to customize each resume and cover letter to help the manager understand the relevant experience and skills you can bring to that specific role.

Setting up a profile and job alerts

If there are no current postings within your field, follow these step-by-step instructions on how to create a profile with job alerts to be notified when we post a position that matches your interests.

Cover letter salutations

Resumes are viewed directly by the hiring manager through our online application system.  If you would like to put a salutation on your cover letter, you can simply use "Dear Hiring Manager."

Improving your chances to get an interview

We receive many qualified applications and we cannot interview each individual that applies. To ensure you have the best chance at being interviewed, it's important that your cover letter and resume are aligned with the position for which you are applying, and provides evidence of the skills and experience required for that specific role.

Getting contacted for an interview

Due to the large volume of applications, only candidates selected for interviews will be contacted. If you have been selected for an interview, your interviewer will give you an estimate of how long it will be before a decision can be made.

Employee referrals

One of the steps you are required to complete when applying for a positions asks "How did you hear about this position?" If you were referred to this position by a current EPCOR employee, select "EPCOR Employee" from the drop-down menu and indicate the reference's name in the "Source Name" box to ensure they get their Referral Reward.

For technical issues, please send a detailed description of your issue using the contact information on the top right of this page. If you can, take a screen shot of the problem so the support team is better equipped to help find a solution. You should receive a response within two business days.

Setting up a profile

​Why should you create an EPCOR candidate profile?

Registering for a candidate profile will allow you to view all vacant positions across EPCOR. You'll also be able to set up “job alerts” which are emails that notify you when job positions that meet your career interests come available.

Step-by-step instructions for first time users

  1. Go to the landing page and select “Register today”
  2. Enter your email address, family name and create a password
  3. Upload your most current resume
    Note: When applying on multiple postings please ensure that your resume is not customized for one particular role. The most recent resume you have uploaded will be saved to all postings that you apply to.
  4. Enter any remaining personal information, such as:
    • First name
    • Address
    • Phone number(s)
    • Additional application documents (i.e. CV, Certifications, etc.)
  5. Enter your work preferences
    Choose job categories of interest:
    • Administrative
    • Labour
    • Leadership
    • Professional
    • Trades
    • Location (including distance from location and country)
    • Choose employment categories of choice:
      • Full Time
      • Part Time
      • Employee
      • Contractor 
      • Choose amount of travel
      • Preference to work from home
      • Minimum desired salary
  6. Select your account privacy
  7. Select email preferences for “Job Alerts”
    • Receive emails of matching jobs
    • Receive general emails
    • Select frequency and format of emails
  8. You’re finished – you can now start applying for jobs!
