EPCOR brings home platinum for employee health and wellness programs

Five years after receiving its first Gold award from the statewide Healthy Arizona Worksites Program (HAWP), EPCOR has reached the highest level of recognition – Platinum.

“A decade ago, workplace health and wellness really focused on an individual’s physical health,” noted Becky Burleigh, Vice President of Corporate Services. “EPCOR goes far beyond that to focus on all four pillars of wellness – physical, mental, social and financial – and support our team from a more fulsome perspective.”

The Healthy Arizona Worksites Program (HAWP) is a program of the Arizona Department of Health Services, administered by Maricopa County Department of Public Health. Beginning in 2019, EPCOR has received four consecutive Gold awards. EPCOR received the highest award, Platinum, in the fifth year.

In addition to competitive and well-rounded medical benefits, EPCOR employees have access to other resources. Examples include online mental health tools, biometrics screening, financial planning resources, Employee Assistance Programs, incentive-based wellness resources, workplace mobility exercises led by employees trained as coaches, employee resource groups for a diverse array of communities, and year-round activities and programs that combine wellness and giving back to the community.
