Texas gas acquisition

PublishedMay 05, 2025

Dear customer,

EPCOR has been privileged to provide natural gas to Magnolia, Pinehurst and surrounding communities for the last eight years. We value being your trusted utility provider and are excited to share that SiEnergy, through its subsidiary, Pines Gas, will now take over that role at the closing of the planned acquisition that was announced on May 5, 2025.

EPCOR is predominately a water and wastewater-focused provider in the US and with a single natural gas system, we believe SiEnergy is better positioned to provide efficiencies while continuing the reliable service you have come to expect. SiEnergy and its parent company, Northwest Natural, has been expanding its footprint in the natural gas market, not only in Texas, but across the U.S.

SiEnergy’s history begins right here in Houston back in 1998. As one of Texas’ fastest-growing gas distribution utilities, they have a reputation for safety, reliability and unsurpassed customer service. Their commitment to these values aligns closely with EPCOR’s, making this transition a great fit for our customers.

Your final bill from EPCOR will be sent out in June and the customer payment portal will no longer be accessible beginning in July. EPCOR and SiEnergy will be working side by side over the next few weeks to ensure a seamless transition, and you’ll soon receive additional information to help guide you through any billing changes.

The EPCOR team has sincerely valued your trust by allowing us to provide you and your families with safe and reliable natural gas service over the years. SiEnergy will carry the torch from now on and we now welcome them to the region.

Sincerely,

Daniel Bailet
Vice President, EPCOR USA

Paul Kennedy
Vice President of Operations, SiEnergy

Frequently asked questions

When will SiEnergy take over my account?

EPCOR will issue final bills in June during the regular billing cycle. The customer portal can continue to be accessed through epcor.com until SiEnergy informs you about taking over your account. Additional information regarding SiEnergy accounts will need to be routed through their customer service representative team.

My account is on AutoPay, when will the last payment pull?

If your AutoPay is scheduled prior to July 2025 it will pull normally.

Please note that the balance on your gas account will be transferred to SiEnergy and you will be expected to pay any amounts in arrears to SiEnergy.

Who do I make my payment to?

Bills due in May or June will need to continue to be made to EPCOR. Additional account management will be sent through SiEnergy once the acquisition has been finalized.

Please note that any balance on your gas account will be transferred to SiEnergy and you will be expected to pay any amounts in arrears to SiEnergy.

Do I need to cancel AutoPay?

You do not need to cancel your AutoPay for payments due or scheduled before July. For payments scheduled on or after that day, you may contact our Customer Care team at 1-800-383-0834 to cancel the payment.

If you use online bill pay through a non-EPCOR payment system, you should request a stop for any payments scheduled after June.

Please note that the balance on your gas account will be transferred to SiEnergy and you will be expected to pay any amounts in arrears to SiEnergy.
