The Edgewood Fire Department will be conducting fire hydrant flushing October 30 - November 6, which can cause higher than normal amounts of air and/or color in the water as well as a temporary drop in pressure.
This necessary maintenance can sometimes create a slight discoloration or cloudiness to drinking water that usually subsides in about 24 hours. This naturally occurring sediment poses no health risk; your drinking water remains safe to drink. If you have a sediment filter, you may want to consider changing it out after November 7.
