What you’ll be responsible for
Provide strategic and technical leadership to ensure I&C systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably across facilities
Oversee engineering design reviews, ensuring alignment with EPCOR standards, industry codes, and best practices
Direct and coordinate contractor activities involving installation, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of control and electrical systems
Develop, refine, and review procurement packages, engineering specifications, and project documentation for quality and compliance
Serve as Owner’s Representative during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), validating technical deliverables and contract adherence
Support operations teams by offering expert guidance on system performance, optimization opportunities, and issue resolution
Champion innovation by identifying emerging technologies and driving continuous improvement initiatives
What’s required to be successful
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
6+ years of experience in design, programming, commissioning, or maintenance of control systems and electrical infrastructure
Strong background with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Wonderware/AVEVA HMIs, and data communication networks (Ethernet/IP, radio telemetry, etc.)
Proven ability to interpret P&IDs, redline EI&C drawings, and troubleshoot analog/digital signals and control architectures
Working knowledge of networking, SQL databases, Windows Server/Domain tools, or command-line applications
Proficiency working with electrical schematics, drafting changes, and using test equipment such as multimeters and process meters
Cybersecurity awareness related to industrial environments, including firewalls, segmentation, and DMZ configurations
