Some of EPCOR's Agua Fria district customers have expressed concerns about water safety after PFAs (polyfluoroalkyl substances) were detected in wells east of the Luke Air Force Base in February 2021.

We understand that any possibility of water contamination causes concern. We take the safety of the water we deliver very seriously, and want to assure customers that the water you receive from EPCOR is safe.

We regularly conduct rigorous testing of all water in our system and adhere strictly to all federal and state safety guidelines. Since the first report of PFAS associated with Luke AFB, we've performed additional testing of our two wells closest to the base. We have also test and have tested all points where water is introduced into the Agua Fria District distribution system, nine locations in total.  All samples show no trace of PFAS and confirm that our water consistently meets the same high standards as always.

EPCOR does not receive water from the Air Force Base. The customers impacted by the recent contamination event are outside our service area and served by another utility.

We're proud to deliver safe water to our customers day after day, year after year. Please contact us at 1 (800) 383-0834 if you have additional questions or concerns.
