​We're refunding customer deposits - Watch for a credit on your bill

Since 2017, EPCOR has continued the previous owner's practice of collecting deposits on certain accounts to stay consistent with the billing system that is still being used today. Those deposits are refunded for adequate payment history, or as customers close their accounts.

We are pleased to announce that we will be integrating our natural gas customers into EPCOR's account management system, bringing our natural gas customers a new and improved customer experience with 24/7 access to customer care.

As part of that process, we're refunding all previously collected deposits – with interest – to EPCOR's natural gas customers who hold a deposit. We have also discontinued the practice of collecting deposits when new accounts are opened.

Who does this apply to?

Customers who were not able to establish credit when they opened their accounts were previously required to provide a deposit.

How much will customers get back?

The amount of each deposit and accrued interest will vary depending on when the account was opened, the - category of service, and when the deposit was paid.  

How and when will customers get their refunds?

Those customers receiving a refund will see it as a credit on their April bill.
