EPCOR has earned its third Healthy Arizona Worksite Gold Award from the Arizona Department of Health Services. The company is being recognized for its commitment and effort to positively affect the health and wellbeing of its employees, their families and the community through evidence-based worksite health initiatives and promising programs.

The Healthy Arizona Worksites Program (HAWP) invests in healthier communities by recognizing employers who have achieved certain milestones to prioritize health and wellness. Organizations recognized at the Gold Level – the highest possible in the HAWP – have demonstrated a strong commitment to integrating worksite health into overall business policies and benefits.

“We are honored to be recognized with the HAWP Gold Level Award for our health and wellness initiatives for the third time,” said Rebecca Burleigh, EPCOR’s Vice President of Corporate Services and Chair of its Internal Wellness Committee. “The health and safety of our employees continues to be our top priority and we will continue to serve them through our programs.”

EPCOR’s specific health and wellness programs include the LifeSpeak: Thriving in a Digital World campaign. The wellness videos and podcasts within the campaign provide employees with advice, tips and tactics to succeed in a digital workplace including managing screen time, keeping stress in check, connecting offline and upgrading technology habits. Mindful Moments with meditation, exercise and sleep resources are also included. In addition to these programs, employees are offered biometrics screenings and are encouraged to participate in the Attain by Aetna incentive program.

EPCOR previously received HAWP Gold Level awards in 2019 and 2020.

EPCOR is among the largest private utilities in the Southwest, providing water, wastewater and natural gas service to approximately 780,000 people across 42 communities and 18 counties in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. With central corporate offices in Phoenix, EPCOR employs approximately 425 people.
