  • EDTI reserves the right of final approval of the pull box size and location(s) prior to granting approval for construction.
  • Contact EDTI Customer Engineering Services for confirmation of the primary cable type, size, and voltage being installed for your specific site and to review the pulling calculation.
  • If pulling lengths exceed the maximum pulling tension of the cable, or the cumulative total of all bends between pulling points exceeds four 90-degree bends, pull box(es) must be installed (2012 Canadian Electrical Code Part 1 , 22nd Edition, Rule 12-940). .Contact EDTI for preapproval for shorter radius bend if proper depth of at service entry cannot be achieved.
  • See Drawing 29 for the primary voltage rating in your area.
  • Conduits must enter and exit the pull box at the same level.
  • Communication cables cannot share the same pull box with primary cables.
  • Please see examples A and B below, showing maximum pulling distances for two standard installations.
