When it comes to power, we understand not everybody wants to be on a contract. Our regulated time-of-use billing option is based on the amount of supply available and our levels of demand and on a rate-setting plan approved by the
Ontario Energy Board.
Energy retailers do not work for EPCOR and are not regulated through time-of-use.
EPCOR doesn't do door-to-door sales. So, if an energy retailer comes to your door to discuss signing up for an energy contact, make sure you know who you are dealing with.
- Always make sure you get a business card and examine the sales person's ID badge.
- Don't share any personal information unless you are prepared to sign a contract.
- Carefully read the contract, disclosure statement and price comparator supplied by the sales person.
- Note, the Ontario Energy Board does not go door-to-door.
If you are considering signing with an energy retailer, the Ontario Energy Board provides
energy contract information and a
bill calculator to help you become an informed consumer.
Want to know what you're paying for?
If you've signed up for an energy contract, contact our customer service team to learn more about what you're currently paying versus what you would pay on time-of-use pricing. Also, don't hesitate to
contact us if you have concerns about someone at your door who is claiming to be an EPCOR employee.
