What to expect during construction
The work will create typical noise associated with construction. We will take measures to ensure we comply with the City of Edmonton’s Community Standards Bylaw for Noise Control. If it’s necessary to temporarily exceed acceptable noise levels, we will work with the City of Edmonton to obtain the necessary permits.
Hours of construction
We anticipate our hours of work for this project to be Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
At this time, no changes to the existing perimeter fence are anticipated as a part of this project.
Sections may be temporarily removed for construction access, but they will be reinstalled after the work is completed.
In order to complete the building expansion, and allow for construction access, it is anticipated that 8 trees will need to be removed. A Landscape Architect will be engaged to evaluate and implement the best options for the restoration of the Rossdale Substation site to its preconstruction condition, including replanting as many trees as possible.
No public road closures are expected from construction on this project.
No interruptions to power services are anticipated as a result of this project.
All work areas will be safe and secure. All construction activities will be in accordance with the City of Edmonton bylaws, occupational health, safety and environmental procedures and guidelines.
