Paradise Valley Water Main Installation

Project background

If you’ve ever been to Paradise Valley, you know that its beauty is owed to the undulating hills, cactus-studded landscapes and stunning resort properties situated in the foothills of Camelback Mountain and Mummy Mountain.

Due to the community’s natural and manmade features—the steep desert topography, along with the large commercial and residential water users—EPCOR’s 5,000 customers in Paradise Valley have unique infrastructure needs.

EPCOR is installing over 2 miles of water main pipe along Lincoln Drive in the Town of Paradise Valley. This investment in water infrastructure will ensure long-term system reliability, and increase capacity in the Paradise Valley water district by nearly 3 million gallons per day.

Project timeline

Installing a water main is a time-consuming process that must be done in phases. Construction began late-April 2019, with completion expected by early November 2019.

There are also separate crews working to install pipe under major storm drains at several different locations along the project.
