Project details

We are proposing to build a new antenna within the Namao Substation (located at 9710 - 127 Avenue). This antenna will provide an essential communications link between EPCOR’s control system and neighbouring substations.

The proposed antenna will be approximately 3.7 metres tall and will be placed on top of the existing substation building, which is approximately 5.5 metres tall. This means the structure will be a total of approximately 9.2 metres above ground. The proposed new antenna structure will be grey in colour, made from metal and concrete materials.

This antenna will use radio communication. EPCOR’s communications equipment complies with Health Canada’s Safety Code 6 for radio installations.
