The work will create typical noise associated with construction. We will take measures to ensure we comply with the City of Edmonton's Community Standards Bylaw for Noise Control. If it's necessary to temporarily exceed acceptable noise levels, we will work with the City of Edmonton to obtain the necessary permits.
Hours of Construction
Typical hours of construction will be Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. If required, these hours may be extended, and construction may occur on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Access along 85 Avenue between 112 Street and 111 Street may be limited during some stages of construction. Temporary lane closures to accommodate the movement of equipment in and out of the substation site may be required. Flag people will be used to detour traffic and pedestrians around the work site during these times.
No interruptions to power services are anticipated as a result of this project.
All work areas will be safe and secure. All construction activities will be in accordance with the City of Edmonton bylaws, Occupational Health and Safety requirements and our strict health, safety and environment program. We do not anticipate any adverse environmental impacts associated with this project.
