What To Expect During Construction
You can expect to see typical construction activity, including company vehicles and equipment.
Hours of Operation
Most of our work will take place Monday to Friday from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.; however, we may need to do occasional evening and weekend work. We expect all work to be completed by October 2016.
Power system upgrade work will create typical construction noise. We'll ensure strict compliance with the City of Edmonton's Community Standards Bylaw for Noise Control. If we need to temporarily exceed those standards, we'll work with the City to get the necessary permits.
Some temporary road closures are possible. We may also need to temporarily block access to your driveway or alleyway. If so, we'll notify you as soon as possible.
Landscaping, pavement, and sidewalk blocks may be removed as necessary prior to construction. We'll restore areas impacted by the construction activity when the project's completed.
All work areas will be safe and secure, and construction activities will comply with the City's bylaws, occupational health and safety requirements, and EPCOR's health, safety and environmental procedures and guidelines.
There will be some outages when we install the new transformers and cables. We'll do our best to minimize outages during the project and notify you prior to any planned outages lasting over three hours.
