Automatic withdrawal

Paying your bill is easy and convenient with automatic withdrawal. Have the amount automatically deducted from your bank account or credit card. Sign up for automatic withdrawal.

Through your bank

Your bank can provide you with automatic withdrawal options to pay your bill. 

  • Pay online or by telephone with services provided by most major banks. Visit your bank's website or mobile app and follow their directions for setting up online payment.
  • Make a payment at your bank through a teller or at a bank machine. Note: Most major banks require your Encor account number for payments.

Credit cards

Make a one-time payment or set up recurring payments with your Visa, MasterCard or Visa Debit.

​Note: If you choose to pay by credit card, there will be a small fee applied by our third party vendor, KUBRA. Under the current rate structure approved by the Alberta Utilities Commission, credit card fees would be passed on to all ratepayers, whether they pay by credit card or not. To avoid transferring this fee to all customers, this service fee is only applied to customers who choose the credit card payment service. The service fee is set by, and paid to, our third party vendor and applied as follows:
  • Visa and MasterCard payments have a service fee of 1.75%.
  • Visa Debit card payments have a service fee of 0.75%.

  Energy charges

The rate you choose covers the actual cost of your power, natural gas, or both (depending on which plan you sign up for). Because you can change your plan at any time, you can always have another look at the energy plan options we have available.

  Administrative costs

A $7 per month administrative fee will automatically be added to your monthly bill to cover the costs of customer service and billing. That means ensuring billing accuracy, friendly responses to all your questions, helpful advice in choosing the right Energy Plan, switching services or helping with moving arrangements.

  Distribution and transmission charges

  Miscellaneous fees and charges

Lost your bill and need us to send you a copy? Want to connect energy to your new home in a hurry? Here's how much it'll cost.

  Carbon levy

You'll see a separate line item on your monthly natural gas bills as of Jan 2017 for the carbon levy. The best way to reduce this cost is to be more energy efficient by turning down the thermostat, fixing leaky doors and windows, and making sure you have good insulation throughout your home.

  Taxes

When necessary, taxes will be applied to all bills.

Remember: Your energy charges are only one portion of the total bill. A $7 per site per month administrative fee, any regulated, energized one-time, miscellaneous charges for distribution and transmission costs, or applicable taxes may be applied. These fees may vary and are dependent on usage and service area. They're applicable regardless of your chosen retailer.

All customers are free to purchase natural gas services from the default supply provider or from a retailer of their choice and to purchase electricity services from the regulated rate provider or from a retailer of their choice. The delivery of natural gas and electricity to you is not affected by your choice. If you change who you purchase natural gas services or electricity services from, you will continue receiving natural gas and electricity from the distribution company in your service area. For a current list of retailers you may choose from, visit ucahelps.alberta.ca or call 310-4822 (toll free in Alberta). Some offers, in whole or in part, may not be available in gas co-ops, municipally owned utilities, and some Rural Electrification Associations.
