Some homeowners in NW Regina may be detecting air odour related to wastewater treatment at this time. The odours are occurring due to high temperatures associated with this year's seasonal turnover from winter to spring. The unusual spike in temperatures that the city of Regina has been experiencing during the normal seasonal turnover has led to more intense odours as the ice in the lagoons thaws, stirring up settled organics in the water. A strong, westerly wind towards the City has transported these odours to your area. EPCOR is working hard to reduce the impact of the residuals in the lagoons at the wastewater treatment plant.
