Twice Recognized for Innovation and excellence

November 04, 2014

With over 219 successful Public-Private Partnership (P3) projects across Canada, to be acknowledged by two awards in one year is a testament of our commitment to innovation and excellence in providing high quality drinking water and the improvement of wastewater services. EPCOR received the following awards:

Award of Merit: Evan Thomas Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant – Kananaskis, AB

EPCOR continues to be committed to the hard work necessary to operate the water and wastewater facilities in the Kananaskis Country. It is this hard work and commitment to the community that lead to an on-time and on-budget completion of the design and build of the upgrade project just over one month ago. Ultimately, the completed upgrades will benefit the local community as well as the growing tourism industry by improving safety and water quality in the area. C. W. Chuck Wills Award: City of Regina Wastewater Treatment Plant – Regina, SK

To date, our Regina water/wastewater project is the largest "design, build, finance, operate and maintain" project in Canada, and it represents substantial savings to Regina's taxpayers. Our EPCOR Team is taking our expertise in watershed management, and the construction and operations of municipal water and wastewater plants, and applying it to a facility that will better meet the needs of Regina citizens, and improve the health and safety of the aquatic life and communities downstream. This award specifically recognizes outstanding achievement in the municipal sector. Find out more information about this project.
