EPCOR named one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People

​We're proud to once again join the ranks of the nation's leaders in attracting and developing young workers. The designation is part of Mediacorp's Canada's Top Employers competition. We were also recently named one of Alberta's Top Employers in the same program.

Canada's Top Employers for Young People recognizes organizations for a wide variety of initiatives that develop and advance young Canadians in their careers. Organizations are judged based on their training, mentorship and advancement opportunities; benefits such as paid tuition; and overall company composition.

Some of the reasons we were recognized include:

  • Young people joining the organization can participate in orientation programs, site tours, mentoring and rotational programs, management boot camp and leadership development programs, among many others.
  • Our After Hours Personal Development Program provides funding for certificates, diplomas, degrees or other individual courses, to a maximum of $1,500 annually. There are financial bonuses for professional accreditations, and mentoring programs and a wide range of in-house training.
  • Employees can make an impact in their community through EPCOR's Helping Hands program. We organize regular small- to large-group volunteer opportunities, and also recognize individuals who volunteer more than 30 hours a year with a $300 grant directed to any registered Canadian charity of their choice.
