We have been installing a new well at the Merklin Street reservoir site. The actual drilling work is complete and the new well is now going to be put into service.
Once this work is completed, outstanding landscaping tasks will be undertaken as part of the final site clean-up and restoration.
This project is part of our approved 2011 - 2013 capital plan, and our continuing efforts to ensure your water service is reliable and safe.
The new well completion work will be carried out starting October 29, 2012, until December 21, 2012, unless we experience unforeseen delays. Work will take place between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Some work beyond these hours may be required; however, we will make every effort to complete daily tasks by 5:30 p.m. each day.
How will I be affected?
There will be some traffic disruptions while vehicles with equipment access the site. Please refrain from parking in front of the EPCOR reservoir site on the west side of the 1500 block of Merklin Street.
There should be no water service interruptions as a result of this work and your water remains safe to consume during this period.
Are there any safety concerns?
Equipment and materials will be stored in the area during this time. Please remind all members of your household to use caution in the area due to the presence of work vehicles. EPCOR’s priority is to complete this work safely and efficiently.
