Project Details
We're replacing three wood poles that support 138-kilovolt power lines in the Genesee area. These poles have been damaged by woodpeckers. To prevent this from occuring in the future, we'll be installing fibreglass poles.
Timeline
The project has been approved by the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) and the work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the year.
What to expect during construction

You can expect to see company and contractor vehicles as well as equipment in the area where we're replacing the poles. The new fibreglass poles will be:
Noise
Noise levels are expected to be intermittent and are not expected to exceed the allowable levels set by the AUC.
Hours of Operation
Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Road Closures
No road closures are expected.
Power Supply
We don't anticipate any power service interruptions from this proposed work. You will continue to receive safe and reliable electricity.
