If you need to set up a new or upgraded electrical service (this includes establishing a new site and construction of electrical facilities), here's the information you'll need to get an idea of what’s required and the estimated time until you’re up and running.

New connection process: knowledge is power

8 simple steps that show you what's required to build a new power service and the estimated time until you're up and running.

Customer connection guide

This will help you choose the type of connection that works best for you and provide detailed information on how to build it. Simply go to Section 1 and “Choose Your Connection”, then go to that specific section for everything you need to know about that type of service.

Update: EPCOR has released a new Customer Connection guide which is effective November 14, 2014. Please ensure all designs satisfy the new requirements.

Applications for service connection

Once you've decided on the type of service you require, please submit the appropriate application form to ces@epcor.com.

Avoid possible delays

The most significant delays/impacts in energization of projects are:

  • Not submitting all the required drawings or missing information on the request form.
  • Long delays in returning the signed acceptance or making payment.
  • A final inspection that does not state that the “service may be energized”.
  • Inspection reports are not forwarded to EPCOR by the customer (or customer representative).
