Edmonton Meter Reading Schedule

All customers and electricity retailers can access EPCOR Distribution & Transmission Inc.'s meter reading schedule and determine the next meter reading date for sites.

For Customers:

Use our meter reading schedule tool to find out when your next meter reading is scheduled. Have your EPCOR electricity bill handy and click on this link.
  • Residential sites for both Power and Water are scheduled for meter reading once every second month.
  • For small commercial sites (power meter with average monthly power consumption below 6200 kWh, or less than 35 kVa; water meter with average monthly consumption less that 150 cubic metres) are also scheduled to read every 2 months.
  • All other larger meters are read monthly.

If you receive a monthly bill from your electricity retailer, the consumption for the month that has no meter reading will be estimated by the retailer's billing system. The estimation method is not standardized in the industry, but the most commonly used method is the average 30 days consumption with a seasonal factor.

  2. Use the Meter Reading Route number; i.e. 23080, look up Meter Reading dates from the Meter Reading Schedule.

  3. Most of the meters in EPCOR Distribution & Transmission service area are read bi-monthly with an exception of high electricity usage sites (average monthly consumption exceeded 6200 kWh or meter demand over 35 kVA ) which will be scheduled to read monthly.

  4. Interval meter sites, unmetered sites and sites which are de-energized for more than 1 year are excluded from the Site/Meter Reading Route Reference table.
Both the Site/Meter Reading Route Reference table and the Meter Reading Schedule are scheduled to update monthly or when the information is available.
