Taylor Coulee Hydroelectric Plant

EPCOR's Taylor Coulee Hydroelectric Plant is a small hydro facility owned jointly by EPCOR and Canadian Hydro Developers Inc. of Calgary, Alberta. It is operated by Canadian Hydro as a merchant plant selling the output to the Alberta Electric System Operator. Taylor uses diversion flow from the Taylor Coulee Chute irrigation canal to generate during the six-month irrigation season from May to October. The output from Taylor Coulee is EcoLogoTM certified.
