The Youth Excellence Arts & Culture Award is directed to youth in selected communities where EPCOR operates. Those eligible for the award are youths between the ages of 8 and 21, who are pursuing excellence in the category of Arts & Culture. (i.e. dance, music, visual arts, literary arts, theatre arts). The Youth Excellence Arts & Culture Award (up to $2500.00) is designed to provide unique development opportunities to an individual beyond the regular activities of the applicant to support them in their pursuit of excellence in Arts & Culture.
Please note that the program is adjusted each year and the information is updated at the start of the application period. In 2008, applications were accepted February 1- March 16.

EPCOR invites community members to be part of the review panel to select the recipient for their community.
Examples of eligible initiatives:
- Private voice / instrument / ear training
- Specialized training in dance and attending provincial dance competitions
- Attending a specialized summer school course such as the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School or the Gaelic College of Celtic Arts & Crafts.
- International piano training program
- Attending a specialized artisan-residence program
